5 Things in A Digital Strategy Package

My customers used to ask me what was the most important thing in terms of digital strategy. Well, it's not fair to say a certain tool is the most important. The selection of digital tools are based on the the brand and its target audience. There may be a tool playing a leading role for a brand, but all those used are integrated. For example, my client wants to promote her e-commerce website for fashion and style, I will pick five for her.

Never ever forget content. Content is king. If content is "1", then the channels we pick will be the "0" after it, No matter how perfectly we utilize the channels, they mean nothing if we don't have a nice content. For me, content is like storytelling that links your brand with your target audience. Your target audience always has a higher value to achieve. For example, self-esteem. In the content you build, you should let your brand be a mentor and tell your audience that, you can do it.

Make it easy for people to find you. In this relationship, there's no need to play hard to get. For those key words that are very likely to be type in the search bar of search engines, you should have them in the content of your website as well. When necessary, bid on the keywords to get your brand high in the list of the search results. Something like "fashion website" and "style" can be the trigger of your showing up.

Build an app to get closer to your customers. You know your customers use the mobile phone a lot right? You know they'd like to purchase something while on the go right? So, be there. An app doesn't mean the small version of your website. Make it as simple as useful. Since the screen is small, you probably need more drop down menus to help better filter. Give your customer a feeling that you do care about their "fat fingers". And your app can also send alerts when there are promotions.

User Experience is about how people feel about you and whether they like you. The website you design for each screen should be responsive-- fit well in screens of any size. And pay attention how quickly people can get onto your website. If it's to slow, you will lose customers and you need the technique help.

Manage your reputation on social media platforms. It's likely that when a customer is not satisfied with your item or service, she will tweet it. Keep an eye on that and respond as quickly as you can. Also, manage your employees on social media. Make sure they know the policy, and know what to say and what not to say about your brand.
